Spa operator to expand brand via franchise offer
Spa operator K City Amir Corporation is opening its Well Spa brand for franchise, following the opening of its third and largest outlet at Sarrosa Hotel.
Company president and director Sophia Lee said the Well Spa brand has performed well in Cebu, despite the existence of more established names.
Because of the brisk business performance in this particular wellness segment, Lee said the company is now formulating a franchise system to allow the brand to expand outside of Cebu.
At present, Well Spa, which is becoming popular for its hot stone massage and other signature Thai massage, provides a total of 54 beds for its three outlets located in Wellcome Hotel in Molave Street and in Mezzo Hotel, and the recently opened outlet in Sarrosa Hotel.
Next month, the company will open its fourth branch in Alsons Inn at General Echavez Street.
Aside from Cebu, Lee is also looking at Bohol, particularly Panglao Island as good market for wellness services, like therapeutic massage service.
With in place training and operational system, Lee is confident that the Well Spa brand is ready to open for franchise opportunity.
Lee observed that aside from the growing local clients, massage service is also in demand for Chinese and other foreign travelers.
Cebu as a tourism center, Lee said opens up for promising wellness business, as massage or therapeutic relaxation is always part of a tourists' activity in a destination.
As the company wants to maintain its quality and service, Lee added that by establishing a professional franchise system would afford Well Spa to expand further.
