Mi­cro­fi­nance bank now ready to go mo­bile

CARD Bank, a mi­cro­fi­nance-ori­ented ru­ral bank, is the first mi­cro­fi­nance bank­ing in­sti­tu­tion in the coun­try to ex­plore mo­bile bank­ing plat­form to de­liver im­proved ser­vice to its mi­cro­fi­nance clients.

KONEK 2 CARD: YOUR AC­CESS TO YOUR FI­NANCES

The mo­bile bank­ing ser­vice of CARD Bank called konek 2 CARD will give its client an ac­cess to their fi­nances by us­ing their An­droid phones. The konek 2 CARD started in 2012 with few fea­tures but has later evolved, pro­vid­ing more dy­namic bank­ing trans­ac­tions.

The konek 2 CARD al­lows a client to mon­i­tor CARD Bank pledge and Mat­a­pat (ATM) sav­ings ac­counts any­time and any­where through its ap­pli­ca­tion. CARD Bank clients can now check their bal­ance, trans­fer fund, pay loans, check their trans­ac­tion his­tory, and view mini state­ment.

CARD Bank sees the cru­cial role of mo­bile bank­ing ser­vice to its more than 2.2 million clients all over the coun­try. “With our drive to bring more time-sav­ing and con­ve­nient ser­vices to our clients, we will con­tinue to ad­vance konek 2 CARD for more bank­ing trans­ac­tions like e-load, mo­bile re­mit­tances and bills pay­ment to cater their chang­ing bank­ing needs,” Ms. Marivic Aus­tria, CARD Bank Pres­i­dent and CEO, said.

The konek 2 CARD was de­signed to pro­vide ef­fi­cient ser­vices with good se­cu­rity fea­tures to pro­tect bank­ing trans­ac­tions.

“Most Filipinos own smart­phones. With the konek 2 CARD ap­pli­ca­tion, we aim to pro­mote fi­nan­cial in­clu­sion. Through this mo­bile ap­pli­ca­tion, we are able to reach more un­banked and un­der­banked com­mu­ni­ties and en­cour­age peo­ple to do bank­ing with us be­cause of its con­ve­nient fea­tures,” Aus­tria added.

CARD Bank has been awarded by the Bangko Sen­tral ng Pilip­inas as a Gold Hall of Fame Awardee as Out­stand­ing Fi­nan­cial In­clu­sion Cham­pion to­gether with the CARD SME Bank and Rizal Bank, Inc.
