There are no prominent Cebuano physicians included on a list of doctors that was recovered during the raid of a pharmacy where more than P10 million worth of illegally manufactured products were confiscated Monday night in Mandaue City.

This was revealed by Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) Regional Intelligence Division (RID) chief Senior Supt. Jonathan Cabal.

“Based on the investigation by the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), there are names of doctors from Taguig and Southern part of Manila who are clients of this company,” Cabal said.

Police are withholding the names of the doctors and clinics on the list so as not to jeopardize their follow-up operations.

The raid last Monday against American Compounding Pharmacy Inc. in Barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City was done by virtue of a search warrant issued by Mandaue City Regional Trial Court Branch 56 Judge Teresita-Abarquez Galanida.

Operatives seized from more than P10 million worth of illegally manufactured beauty and other drug products.

It also resulted in the arrest of store employee Girlie Baricuatro. However, its American owner, David Atkinson, was not around.

Cabal said that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will now take charge of the confiscated drugs.

Operatives in Metro Manila will conduct the investigation against the doctors in Taguig and southern parts of Manila who transacted with the pharmacy.
