She is the daughter of a housewife and a retired businessman who owned a tree nursery and landscaping business.

This dazzling beauty comes with talent, as she’s a violinist specializing in classical music. Speaking of her other interests, Luzenne says: “My favorite thing to do is go to the beach and swim. I play badminton in my free time. I am obssessed with animals especially cats. I like reading mystery stories. I enjoy modelling and joining pageants. One of my life goals is to become a beauty queen.”

She especially took an interest in joining Binibining Cebu because of the opportunity to represent Daanbantayan, the hometown of her mom who owns the land where the Bantayan sa Hari previously stood in Tapilon.

What does winning the Binibining Cebu crown mean to her? “It will mean the world to me. The prestige of winning the first ever held Binibining

Cebu pageant is more than the prize. I believe I deserve the title because I am a proud Cebuana willing to serve my fellow Cebuanos, willing to promote the beauty of Cebu’s natural wonders, and willing to be an ambassadress who actually cares about the people and the enviroment of Cebu. I want to share Cebu’s greatness with people who want to experience true paradise. I possess the integrity and self-initiative to be worthy of the crown.”

This mestiza is preparing for coronation night “through prayers and having a positive mindset. I dedicate myself to earning the crown through my own efforts. When I visited the mayor of Daanbantayan, Vicente Loot, he told me there are going to be new tourist attractions coming soon in Daanbantayan and that it is on its way to becoming a city.”

One philosophy Luzenne lives by? “Never settle for less. There are bigger and better oppurtunities in the world and we are only given one life to prove how far we can accomplish our goals and aspirations.”

“I really suggest that an airport should be built in Daanbantayan so there is quicker access for the people,” says Luzenne on the improvements she’d like to suggest for Daanbantayan.

For Luzenne, people should visit Daanbantatan because: “Daanbantayan has the longest coastline in Cebu. It is best known for its incredible diving/snorkeling sites and beautiful white sand beaches. The only place in the world where you can see thresher sharks regularly and manta rays are at Malapascua Island. Gato Island and Monad Shoal are the two best diving sites with an underwater cave and magnificent corals. The gorgeous sunset after a fun day of adventures is absolutely breathtaking.”
