*** Birthday girl Meren Gepilano this time had high tea at the newly reopened “Kabilin” of Golden Prince Hotel. Kabilin has 12 kinds of merienda fares with a lot of teas and chocolates available. Her friends from Elegant Circle group were, of course, in happy attendance!

Another birthday girl was Lita Cabugao, wife of the late Capt. Joe Cabugao, who opted to have lunch at 101 Buffet, near Mandaue. Lita’s Monday Group from Jesu Christi Community was in perfect attendance! A touching moment in her life was, when eldest son, Capt. Clifford Cabugao, had an overseas call for his beloved Mom Lita. More years to celebrate, my dear friend!

It was a blast for businessman Alex Patiño, now Honolulu-based, as his dear wifey Bles surprised him with a grand celebration of his birthday at the GrandCon ballroom when he turned all of 60 years young. Because he was turning 60, Bles made sure that the celebration would be grand, replete with a band providing danceable music and handsome giveaways for all guests to take home. A day after the fete, Alex and Bles left for their second honeymoon in a cruise in the Mediterranean seas. Wow!
