To show that they have moved forward from their rift, the head of the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office has sent to the vice governor schedule of activities on tourism for November.

Joselito “Boboi” Costas, Capitol’s chief tourism officer, went to the office of Vice Governor Agnes Magpale and reassured the latter to continue to consult and inform her of the activities of the tourism office.

Magpale, for her part, said she is now aware of tourism activities in the province.

"To prove nga wala nato, kalimtan na nato. Ako ang mo-demonstrate, mag cooking demo ko," Magpale said, referring to the tourism’s activity on Cebu Community-Based Ecotourism Project Culinary Festival which will be held on Nov. 16 to 19.

Magpale said Costas assured her that she will be given schedules on tourism in different local government units.

Some of the scheduled tourism activities in the province this month include the Terrestrial (Forest) Tourism Impact Monitoring Training Worskop on LGUs which started yesterday until November 10; Carcar Tourism Summit on November 8; Public Hearing on the proposed budget for tourism office on November 9.

Another activity is the Cultural Interpretation (Tour guiding) Workshop on November 27 to 29.

Last week, Magpale revealed that she wanted to step down as the chairman on Committee on Tourism and International Relations after learning that the head of the tourism office in the province does not believe and support MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) tourism and after she was not informed of the programs and projects of the Provincial tourism office.
