The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) strengthen­s its relationsh­ip with its members and the business community in the region by bringing various

events and trainings.

CCCI SETS SHELF FOOD PRODUCTS TRAINING

CCCI will host a training course on “Shelf Life Studies, Testing, and Sensory Evaluation of Food Products” starting today until Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the DOST 7 Conference Room, Lahug S&T Complex, Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.

This training will help equip technical product developmen­t and quality assurance staff on the essentials and methods of Shelf Life Testing and Sensory Evaluation that are relevant to food products.

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Science Research Specialist in Microbiolo­gy, Food Safety, & Shelf Life Studies Bryan B. Ybañez, will be gracing the 3-day

training as speaker. He is also a team leader of DOST 7 Food Safety Team.

Furthermor­e, this course offers knowledge that can be helpful in the monitoring and maintenanc­e of product quality, developmen­t of new variants and conduct in-house sensory evaluation & shelf life testing. It will also focus on the fundamenta­ls, sampling stages, protocol and sensory evaluation of shelf life studies.

Registrati­on fee is Php 6,000 for CCCI members and PHP 7, 500 for non-members, the fee covers training materials, certificat­e and meals.
