Matteo Guidicelli shrugs off ‘user’ remarks

-

Since he is a real gentleman and is naturally good-natured, Matteo Guidicelli doesn’t get offended when he hears remarks that he “uses” his girlfriend Sarah Geronimo whenever he has a movie or a forthcoming concert.

At the press conference of “Hey Matteo,” his first Manila concert to be held at The Kia Theatre, the media people asked the car racer-turned actor-turned-singer’s comment on the matter.

“I don’t get offended because I am just telling the truth. I am just answering the questions from the media and they can’t help but ask me about Sarah,” said the Kapamilya contract star. “Sarah and I have our respective careers and we respect each other’s endeavors.”

One thing nice about Matteo is that he answers all questions thrown at him, controversial and otherwise. He is very polite when giving answers to questions and tries his best to answer all questions thrown at him with a smile.

He also said that it’s not true that Sarah is now living solo in a condo.

“She still stays with her parents,” he quipped. But he declined to say more, adding that he doesn’t want to meddle in Sarah’s privacy.

Besides, the reason why he and Sarah don’t do projects together is because they don’t want to be accused of using each other to push their respective careers.

“If you notice, hindi ko naman igini-guest si Sarah sa concert ko, in the same manner na hindi rin naman ako nagiging guest sa concert niya. We respect each other’s turf bilang mga artists,” he said.

Matteo is excited but also quite nervous with his forthcoming concert as he gets to test the Manila crowd as his audience. Aside from singing some cuts from his second album titled “Hey,” he will also be singing some revivals. At the media launch of “Hey Matteo,” he sang a few cuts from his album to give the press an idea what to expect from his concert.

“Hey Matteo” is the first time that he will be doing a show in Manila since he did his homecoming concert in Cebu last year. To be fair, the Kapamilya talent packed the ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino and we’d like to believe that Matteo will be able to fill up Kia Theatre.

“It is scary to think how to fill up a big venue. But I heard the VIP tickets are nearly sold out and the tickets in the other sections are moving so sana we can have a full house,” he said.

He said yes when asked if he will invite the parents of Sarah (Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin) to his concert. The question now is – will they come and watch?
