Jumamil, Torres dominate San Remigio triathlon

Paul Jumamil and Feelin Torres reigned supreme in their respective classes in the premier division of the San Remigio 8080 Triathlon yesterday in the northern Cebu town of San Remigio.

Rider Omega Pro triathlon team's Jumamil topped the men's class after finishing the lung-busting race in three hours 18 minutes and 26 seconds followed by his teammate Jorry Ycong in 3:21:01 as Emmanuel Commendado­r of WS Tri landed third with 3:23:53 clocking.

In the distaff side, Torres claimed the crown with a time of 4:01:01. Rue Panibon settled for second in 4:09:55 as Cianyl Gonzales wound up third with 4:11:29.

Other Rider Omega Pro athletes who dominate their respective age-groups were Sean Yu (15-19) , Banjo Norte (20-24) and June Marq Ocana (40-44).

The rest of the winners in the age-group action were Kyrie Mejares/Junela Mahusay(25-29),Rosalito Albina/Louie Villacin(3034), Joseph Miller/Aimee Dequina(35-39),Tony Cabardo(40-44), Jean Christophe­r Covacho/ Jadulco Luisita (45-49) and Venancio Amora (50above).

Spectrum Tri Team won the 8080 relay event as Sante Barley and Rider Omega Pro placed second and third, respective­ly.

Kim Remolino, for his part, rule the men's 4040 class action with a time of 1:39:55 followed by Alfred Pacabis (1:42:14) and Renz Wynn Corbin (1:44:51) at second and third, respective­ly. Karen Manayon (1:58:01), Moira Frances Erediano ( 1:58:02) and Nicole Marie Del Rosario (2:04:31) were the top three finishers in the women's side.
