Twitter tests “Bookmarks” feature
A support page for a new smartphone model by Samsung got techies talking over the weekend, as the said page is believed to be the support page for the “Galaxy X,” the brand’s rumored “foldable phone.”
Various tech journalists are convinced that the appearance of the page hints that the rumored device may be unveiled soon – particularly at the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 mobile industry tradeshow in January next year.
Rumors hinting that Samsung is releasing a “foldable phone” have been rife for years, stemming from the brand’s presentation of a prototype foldable display way back.
The brand has not confirmed if it will or if it won’t be launching the “Galaxy X” or a “foldable phone” in next year’s CES, but this hasn’t fettered the rise of rumors that it will be doing just that.
A national mobile retailer announced last week that it will be hosting two major “gadget fairs” in Cebu this December.
Dubbed the “Mega Gadget Expo” and “The Great Gadget Bazaar,” Rulls Cellphone and Accessories will be highlighting the latest flagship models of brands Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Huawei, Asus Gionee and Motorola in the forthcoming “gadget fairs” – along with a revue of smartdevices that fall under the mid-range gadget specification.
Both events will take place at The Event Center of SM City Cebu – with the “Mega Gadget Expo” set to run from December 15 to 17 and “The Great Gadget Bazaar” on December 22 to 24.
The “fairs” will highlight special discounts on select models, a range of on-site games and surprises and more. More information on the events is hosted on the Rulls Cellphone and Accessories official online channels.
A post by a Twitter staff product designer @tinastsh (Tina Koyama) revealed that the micro-blogging platform is currently testing a bookmarking feature that allows Twitter members to “flag” certain posts and view them at a later time.
Dubbed “Bookmarks,” the feature is believed to be one which arms Twitter users with the option to bookmark a post privately and the option to share them.
It is still unclear when the said “Bookmarks” feature will be integrated into the main Twitter interface, but the revelation that it is on a testing phase has garnered a number of thumbs up from those who’ve come across the news, since it negates the number of current workarounds to “save” Tweets for reading later (example: re-tweeting a Tweet so it’ll stay within one’s profile timeline, saving a Tweet link on a note-taking app and the like).
