Breathtaking ballet featuring Piolo Pascual
Ayala Center Cebu continues to elevate the spirit of Christmas this time by bringing back the talented dancers of Steps Dance Studio for another breathtaking show.
After the well-received jazz musical “Frankly Speaking” in 2014, they are staging in Cebu “I Got Stung” at The Terraces on Saturday, December 9 at 7 p.m. A ballet production that features the most popular music of iconic singer, Sting, the show will feature guest star, Piolo Pascual and will be choreographed and directed by veteran jazz dancer and choreographer, James Laforteza.
To get tickets to the show, head to the Concierge near Fred Perry & Vero Moda and present a minimum purchase receipt of P1,000 from any mall establishment (excluding supermarket, bills payment, services, and department store kiosks) or make a minimum donation of P300 to the Hero Foundation.
Founded in 1994 by Sofia Zobel Elizalde, Steps Dance Studio is one of the most innovative, creative and comprehensive dance studios in the country offering classes in ballet, modern dance, jazz, street dance and tap. Boasting state-of- the-art facilities and highly trained dance instructors, Steps offers a variety of dance courses for different age groups and different levels of ability. Its ballet program follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. Elizalde is anAssociate of RoyalAcademy of Dance with a registered teaching status and began dancing at the age of four. She studied at the Elmhurst Ballet School in England, where she was awarded the Sylphide Cup for Most Outstanding Performance on her graduating year. She received additional training at the School of American Ballet in New York and San Francisco Ballet School. Since then she has performed leading roles in Ballet Philippines’ “The Nutcracker,” “Swan Lake,” “La Bayadere,” “Cinderella,” “Snow White,” “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Itim Asu’ before setting up STEPS.
