A high-tech and tamper proof bracelets will serve as gate pass for spectators into the Sinulog grandstand at the Cebu City Sports Center this year.

Cebu City Councilor David Tumulak, Sinulog Executive Committee chairman, said that in lieu of the usual ID card that the Sinulog Foundation had been issuing in the past, the organizers will issue ballers with chips.

“We come up with a new system of tickets they are using now ballers with chip. All they have to do is to wear it inig sulod nila sa CCSC, mo-tap lang ka,” Tumulak said.

He said they came up with the new ID system to adopt the advent of technology and for easy monitoring of spectators.

“We should embrace the new technology. Then lisod i-duplicate kay naa naman chip, souvenir sad na sa mga tawo nga motan-aw, part sa government program pag less sa plastics, environmental friendly,” Tumulak said.

He assured the public that the price would be the same as last year even with the new innovation.

The prices for Sinulog ritual showdown at CCSC are P1,000; P1,200 and P 2,500 depending on the accommodation. Tumulak said they are expecting the ballers to be available for the public to start buying next week.
