Skipping with the metro as it ventures into the heart of the season, following are bright and lucent venues to be – with just and joyous reason.
AYALA CENTER CEBU’S 1ST OUTDOOR CHRISTMAS TREE
On November 24, Ayala Center Cebu lit its first ever outdoor Christmas Tree.
Standing 32-feet tall and located at the mall’s Garden Area along Cardinal Rosales Avenue, the tree was made in partnership with True Value and the Firefly energy-efficient LED lighting and electronic devices brand. The tree lighting is a traditional activity by Firefly in Metro Manila, and was brought to the Visayas for the first time.
Leading the ceremonial lighting were Ayala Center Cebu General Manager Celeste “Bong” Dy, Firefly Assistant Trade Marketing Manager, Joanna Dela Cuesta and True Value Operations Manager, Raymond Mojares.
MONTEBELLO VILLA HOTEL CEBU
Cebu’s only garden hotel – Montebello Villa Hotel Cebu – had its annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on December 2.
Leading the ceremony held at the hotel’s main lobby was Luis Martin Alvarez, the hotel’s general manager and president of the Alvarez-Borromeo Development Corp. (the holding firm of the hotel).
This year, the hotel has a parol-gilded Christmas Tree, a symbolism of the guiding star born on Christmas Day.
THE RESIDENCES AT SHERATON CEBU MACTAN RESORT
The Residences at Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort ushered in the holiday season with a Christmas Celebration and Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at their showroom in Mactan on December 6.
The lighting of the 15-feet tall Christmas tree was led by Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza, the Executive Vice President for AppleOne Properties Inc. Joy Veloso and the Department of Tourism’s Regional Director Joshur Judd Lanete.
A performance by celebrated big-band crooner Richard Poon was the highlight of the evening’s festivities. The multi-awarded singer performed a swooning set of Christmas classics.
