AboitizPower geothermal unit earns IMS certification

AboitizPower subsidiary AP Renewables, Inc. (APRI) recently earned an Integrated Management System (IMS) certification with zero nonconformance.

The certification includes the 2015 versions of ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment), and the 2007 version of OSHAS 18001 (Health and Safety). The certication audit was conducted by TÜV Rheinland Philippines, an affiliate of TÜV Rheinland, a leading global testing service organization for quality, efficiency, and safety.

APRI has been internationally certified since 2015 and it continues to operate to the highest standards to ensure the quality of its products and services and the safety and wellness of its employees and host communities, as well as to help promote environmental awareness.

This year is special for APRI because of the engagement and participation of its employees. 44 of its team members underwent trainings that are specifically designed for conducting internal surveillance audit to prepare the organization for external audit.

APRI President and COO Felino M. Bernardo said that the certification underscores APRI’s commitment to achieving world-class operational excellence while mitigating environmental risks.

“The Integrated Management System guides and challenges us to always look for better ways to further the quality of our operations and services and continually satisfy our customers and stakeholders,” Bernardo said.
