The largest and leading Philippine multi-media conglomerate, ABS-CBN Corporation, opens 2018 with a bang as breathtaking and never-before-seen acts take the center stage in the muchawaited sixth season premiere of the Philippine edition of the world-class talent search “Pilipinas Got Talent” (PGT).

The premiere will be seen in the Philippines via ABS-CBN TV 2 and outside the country via The Filipino Channel (TFC), with its first two episodes streaming via TFC Online (www.TFC.tv) accessible via desktop and mobile browsers, simulcast its local airing on January 6 (7 p.m.) and 7 (7:30 p.m.), in key countries worldwide.

The worldwide hit franchise is back to search for the best Filipino acts from different parts of the country with host, International Singing Sensation Billy Crawford and the newest host, Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga; and the judges, Certified

An all-Cebuano cast and crew is behind an animated Binisaya music video, the latest offering of Viva Records in the VisMin region.

“Dodong” is written and performed by new recording artist Troiski, costarred by Monica Cuenco of the “Bituing Walang Ningning the Musical” fame, directed by International Academy of Film & Television graduate Anthony Uy, and line produced by Above The Line (ATL) Productions.

Uy likewise conceptualized the music video shot on a green screen and did its animation. His first project for Viva Records, The 11th Hour’s “Pusang Ina,” was noteworthy as it was the record label’s initial offering in VisMin, Star-maker Freddie “FMG” Garcia, award-winning actress Angel Locsin, cultural icon Robin Padilla, and Phenomenal Box Office Star Vice Ganda.

PGT hopefuls will surely be on fire this season as they are out to prove that the Filipino talent is unique, innovative, out-of-the-box, and truly world-class.

Also staging a comeback this year is the coveted Golden Buzzer that automatically puts acts through the semifinal round. For the first time in PGT, hosts Billy and Toni have the power to pick their Golden Buzzer act just like the four judges. Now, a total of five acts can get fast lane tickets to the live semis.

Last year when the Golden Buzzer was first introduced in the show, Robin’s chosen Golden Buzzer act, the Power Duo, managed to conquer the hearts of the judges and viewers with each performance, and eventually emerged as the season’s champion.

The live auditions already kicked off in Cebu last month where hopefuls from Visayas and Mindanao pulled out all the stops to impress the judges and the live audience. Next week, it’s time for Metro Manila (Luzon island) bets to show what they got in the live auditions to be held in Tanghalang Pasigueno in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

Pinoy acts in “Pilipinas Got Talent” have shown that they can conquer the local stage as much as the international stage, as some of them made it to the first edition of “Asia’s Got Talent” (AGT). In fact, PGT’s season 3 finalist, the shadow act El Gamma Penumbra, was named as AGT’s first grand winner.

Who will stand out this season? Which act will be named season six’s grand winner?

Don’t miss the premiere of the newest season of “Pilipinas Got Talent.” thereby bringing together Viva artists from around VisMin.

ATL, which also produced the behind-thescene video for “Dodong,” further cemented their status in the local filmmaking community for their laudable work on the hit “Patay Na Si Hesus” and the Cinema One original “Si Chedeng at Si Apple.”

Fresh off the recent PhilPop Bootcamp 2017, Troiski launched “Dodong,” a reminder of the first time he fell in love. The music video premiered on Myx Philippines prior to its online release via Viva Records’ YouTube channel, and is available on iTunes and Spotify.
