The fathers of the two 13-year-old girls who were earlier reported abducted are no longer filing a case against the woman accused of taking them in Deca Homes, Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City.

According to one of the fathers, their family settled with the defendant after seeing her situation in the detention cell together with her baby.

Police Officer 1 Janeth Marquez confirmed that suspect Lorna Salazar was released from detention early morning today.

Earlier, it was reported that the two fathers wanted to file a child abuse case against the suspect after the two minors went missing; one disappeared on December 25 while her best friend also went missing on January 2.

The complainants already made their affidavit, it included the statement of a security guard in the area who said that the minors were seen with Salazar.

The father also reasoned that despite the fact that Salazar did not inform them that their daughters were with her in Bohol, they were taken care of.

“File-an unta pero naluoy mi kay naa’y gamay nga anak, nakita namo didto sa prisohan. Unya sad iya man usab giatiman among mga anak,” he said.

One of the girls admitted that she was the girlfriend of Salazar’s 17-year-old son. Both of them also confirmed they were not sexually abused.

Earlier, Salazar denied all abduction allegations saying that it was the decision of both girls to go with her family to Bohol to attend a wedding.
