Julia looks up to Kathryn for action scenes

-

After Mara, it is now Clara's turn to become an action star.

Following the "La Luna Sangre" success of Kathryn Bernardo, who starred as Mara in the remake of "Mara, Clara," it is now the turn of Kathryn's "Mara, Clara" costar, Julia Montes, to show prowess in combat scenes for upcoming ABS-CBN soap opera "Asintado."

In an interview last Monday for her upcoming soap opera "Asintado," Julia said that though she and Kathryn are no longer costars, Kathryn always tells Julia her experiences in doing fight scenes for "La Luna Sangre."

"Nae-excite ako every time na nagkwekwento nga siya," Julia enthused.

Julia admitted that she also now consults Kathryn on how to prepare doing battle shots for "Asintado."

Julia affirmed that it is now the age of femme fatales in Filipino soap operas, with roles such as Kathryn's Malia in "La Luna Sangre" and Maja Salvador in "Wildflower."

The actress said she and Kathryn are excited to be part of a new generation of actors that value gender equality.

It's exciting for us!" —
