Mayor Paz Radaza said this during a press conference after Victor Amores, the brother of City Councilor Rico Amores, was arrested in a buy-bust operation.

Radaza said the police are serious in their jobs and do not choose the subject of their operation as they base it on gathered reports and on their surveillance and monitoring.

"Wala tay gipili. He has been advised, even gitagaan og negosyo aron di siya sige’g kuyog sa iyaha’ng kauban. Wa’y pili modakop ra ba g’yud sila (the police)," she said.

Councilor Amores commended the police for arresting his brother.

"I salute sa arresting officers including the barangay official and the media. Ang balaod gi-apply nila equally," Councilor Amores said.

Victor, a former firefighter, and his companion Erwin Francisco Sullano were arrested by the LCPO-City Intelligence Branch last Monday afternoon in Purok Nangka, Barangay Gun-ob, along with suspected shabu worth P63,720.

Chief Inspector Mark Gifter Sucalit, head of LCPO-CIB said Victor was their "highimpact target" and he is now detained in LCPO holding cell facing drug charges.
