To accommodate the increasing number of students at Talisay City College (TCC), a four-story building will be constructed within the campus in Poblacion,Talisay City within this year.

TCC President Dr. Richel Bacaltos said that next school year, they are expecting a large number of students as the first batch of the K to 12 program will be graduating in March and are expected to proceed to college.

He said that last year, Mayor Eduardo Gullas has allocated P20 million for TCC.

The building is intended for students taking up Education majors.

The new building can house eight to 12 classrooms and they planned to use the whole second floor as library.

He revealed that presently, they are using tents as temporary classrooms for Industrial Technology (IT) students.

Once the building construction is completed, IT students can hold classes in there.

TCC is offering three courses — Education, IT and Hospitality Management with a population of around 2,300 students.

In order to construct the new building, they need to demolish the tennis court located at the back of TCC.

The school promised to the members of the city’s tennis club that a new tennis court will be provided for them.
