FDR-Mallari riders dominate in Motor Ace race again

The daring riders of FDR-Mallari Racing continued their domination in the local racing circuit after raking in the top honors spotlighted by a rare sweep in one division during the penultimate leg of the Motor Ace Circuit Series 2017-2018 edition over the weekend at Kartzone in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City.

They turned the racetrack into a virtual playground with all of their entries occupying the first six of the top 10 finishers in the multi-brand combined beginners-novice scooter 130-EFI.

Chloe Mallari topped the first heat, but just let her teammate Janesse Lucero go ahead in the last heat for the win.

Chloe’s brother Justin came out third while the fourth to sixth spots went to their comrades in Francis Castaneda, John Paul Manatad, and Van Ricablanca.

Lucero also topped the ladies open, while FYRT’s Jen Yosores placed second followed by Chloe Mallari.

FDR-Mallari Racing was also supposed to score a sweep in the novice Scooter 130cc, with Justin Mallari, Francis Castaneda and John Paul Manatad taking over the top three spots.

However, Manatad got disqualified during the scrutineering for allegedly not using a stocked air filter.

Manatad though still has something to be happy about after he and his teammate Ricablanca posted a 1-2 finish in the combined beginners-novice underbone. SC’s Shy Orlanes settled for third.

Aside from the novice scooter 130, FDR-Mallari’s Castaneda also grabbed the second spot of the club race won by Gboy Carlos of Quickfix. RPM’s Rafael Aquino wound up third claimed the third place trophy.

As it is, Yamaha actually reigned that day with JR Caneda of Yamaha MW-323 collecting two titles via the underbone 130 open and intermediate-expert scooter.

Simon Spencer Solon stole part of the show after dominating the intermediate-novice sniper RS150.
