All set for Cebu leg of Beach Volleyball Republic on Tour

Twenty-four teams from all over the country will gather in the Queen City of the South for the Cebu leg of the Beach Volleyball Republic On Tour Internatio­nal Open 2018 set on March 10-11 at the Beach Placid Resort in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island.

2017 national champion Jade Becaldo and Calvin Sarte of Ato Ni Bai lead the contenders in the men's division. Completing Cebu's bets in the two-day tilt are UV's Kevin Juban and Raphy Abanto, USJ-R's Alastair Gairanud and Kent Verbusidad. Michael Ilustrisim­o and Remmie Jun Echavez of Santa Fe 1 and Reniel Illut and Jewel Cabahug of Sante Fe 2.

Out to give them a run for their money are Jessie Lopez and RanRan Abdilla of Airforce, NU's Pol Salvador and James Buytrago, USLS' Deanne de Pedro and Herold Parcia, Bacolod City's Simon Aguillon and Roelene Inaudito, Asian Volleballi­sta's Rancel and Royet Varga, Perpetual's Joebert Almodiel and Rey Taneo and Malaysia's Muhammad Afiq Solihin Bin Idris and Raja Nazmi Saffudin Bin Raja Illusin.

In the women's bracket, BVR's Charo Soriano and Bea Tan make up Perlas 1, while Gizelle Tan and Amy Ahomiro team up for Perlas 2.

SWU-Phinma's Floremel Rodriguez and Therese Ramas will represent Team Cebu, while USJ-R will be fielding in Lyn Torado and Paula Maninang.

Completing the list in women's play are Team Chikkas of Dzi Gervacio and Kassie Gormley, Airforce's Judy Caballejo and Coyah Abanto, PNP's Apple Saraum and Shara Mae Bulac, Saint Vincent's College Aimee Laurete and Liezel Elcamel, SJI-Bacolod's Sheryl Laborte and Ruby Casiple, UNO-R1's Erjane Magdato and Alexa Polidario, UNO-R2's Jenny Mar Senares and Ann Gabales, and Bacolod City's Bianca Lizares and Jennifer Cosas. —
