Unique Drinks, Distinctive Atmosphere

-

Tucked in a century-old house is a place to relax and enjoy a drink and a chat after a hectic day in the bustling city: Cicada Tapas and Bar.

Its newly launched craft cocktail menu, which is based on homemade infusions and syrups infused with local flavors, has been set with every guest and every sip in mind. It is “one way to challenge ourselves and our bar staff… go beyond the classics and to keep up to date, [to come up with something] out of the usual but using local ingredients,” said operations manager Eya Shrimski.

“Meet me at Cicada” is a mixture of proprietary brands of spirits and is truly original; giving a heartwarming and settling feeling for a day done well.

“Joy’s Garden Sour” is aptly named after the lady of the house next door who was kind enough to offer the rosemary from her garden when the cocktail was concocted. It is a fresh and refreshing drink since the herbs being used do not have to travel far.

The cocktail list is short but heavy on inspiration. Cicada bartenders are eager to explain the process and inspiration behind the drinks offering. Their vivid descriptions will leave guests charmed and entertained.

While the focus is on craft cocktails, there are also hearty tapas to accompany the libations. The food selection is interesting enough to please regulars for lunch or a relaxing late night. One must also save room for some sweet treats from Noshery Bakery + Sweets which is just adjacent to Cicada.

Cicada Tapas & Bar is a haven for booze enthusiasts looking for unique drinks in an equally distinctive atmosphere. One may take a seat at the bar and have the bartender make a carefully mixed drink, a perfect remedy to wash off the burdens of the intense week.

Cicada Tapas & Bar is located along Sanjercas Ville Extension Road, Cebu City. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 12 midnight. For inquiries, one may call (032) 417 3886.
