Organique eyeing to expand product line

-

Organique Inc., announced to expand its product line offers, this time to include the processing of Philippine grown superfood such as virgin coconut oil or (VCO).

Known for its flagship Acai berry-based products, the company's vice president Catherine Salimbangon said they are looking at expanding its product lines to not limited only to acai-berry, considering that the Philippines is rich in superfood vegetables and fruits, which are also being targeted by multinational health and wellness manufacturers for food supplement production.

According to Salimbangon, Organique will make use of its partnerships with American organic food manufacturers, food scientists, and other experts to develop more food supplement, as well as beauty products using Philippine grown raw materials like VCO, and others as based products.

From there, research and development team of Organique may develop superpower food supplement that will mix acai-berry with VCO and, probably "malunggay" or moringa.

VCO in particular, has been scientifically tested to have the highest potency level compared to other well-known oils like Morocco's Argan oil, Olive oil, among others.

Scientific studies have linked medium chain fatty acid (MCFA) content in coconut oil to less incidence of cardiovascular disease in studied populations. MCFA has also widely recognized now as the major ingredient in energy-boosting ketogenic diet.

Salimbangon believes that as the market is now widely open and people have easy access to information via the Internet, more and more people have come to understand that nature-based food and supplements are the highly recommended alternative to prevent diseases.

The Philippines, one of the largest suppliers of VCO products in the world, should take advantage of this opportunity, while foreigners are willing to buy VCO products regardless of cost, because of its efficacy.

The company, she said is closely considering on this expansion, in order for Filipinos to avail of affordable and effective authentic organic superfood products.

Proper and formal announcement will be made soon, after the company will complete some negotiations and partnership bids on this plan.

Organique Inc. is a US-established but Cebuano-owned company with the purpose of developing trade and retail food supplements made from Acai berries.
