Gladys Reyes was lauded early this year after posting a photo of her breastfeeding her youngest son Gavin Cale. Posted on Instagram, the actress said that despite the busy preparations for her and her husband Christopher Roxas’ renewal of vows last January, there was always time to nurse 10-month-old Gavin and spend quality time with her other son Grant Carlin.

The breastfeeding advocate, who was recently in Cebu with the cast of GMA’s upcoming show “Inday Will Always Love You,” once again impressed netizens when she offered to share her breast milk.

During taping for the Cebu-based show in the town of Sta. Fe in Bantayan island, north of Cebu, the Primera Kontrabida posted a photo of her freshly pumped milk and wrote: “Before I left, stored some breast milk for my baby Gavin. Today pumped 6 oz. and I’m willing to donate this since I’m here in Sta.Fe Bantayan Island Cebu. You may be nearby. Just pm me. #breastmilkfordonation”

With more than 2,000 likes on Instagram, the post garnered much attention. In the end, the 39-year-old mom of four (Gian Christopher, Aquisha, Grant Carlin and Gavin Cale) did have someone to give the milk to.

“When you are breastfeeding, talagang kailangan mo rin mag-pump kahit nandito ka sa Cebu. Sayang naman, kesa itapon. Pinost ko nalang baka may nangagailangan,” Gladys explained.

It so happens that those who picked up her milk were also members of the same church as the Reyeses who are Iglesia Ni Cristo members.

“True enough sa Bantayan, meron po. Pinick up nila. In my own little way, nakahelp po tayo sa mga babies with the milk,” she quipped.

During their trip to Cebu, Gladys, who hasn’t been here in a long time, gushed about all the places they were able to see. She posted numerous photos on her social media account with Cebu backdrops like the Sirao Gardens, Temple of Leah, even the sidewalk along the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge, which is officially known as Sergio Osmeña Bridge.

She shared how at awe she was with Bantayan Island’s serenity and cleanliness. Gladys hopes to bring her family for vacation in Cebu someday, but until then, she will have to visit the Queen City of the South again as the “Inday Will Always Love You” production will be back for the second leg of taping.

“Ang ganda, ang linis. Yung pier, unlike sa ibang lugar, ang linis parang pwede nga doon ka na maligo. As a mother, it makes me want to bring my kids and my family here kasi ang tahimik, ang presko ng environment. Para kang nasa paradise,” Gladys said.
