Complete Pinoy Pride 44 card bared
Cebu's world-renowned ALA Promotions yesterday released the complete 'Pinoy Pride 44' card headlined by brothers 'Prince' Albert and Jason 'El Niño' Pagara at their hometown Maasin City on June 9.
Albert Pagara (29-1, 20KOs) will try to cement further his road to redemption as he battles Laryea Gabriel Odio (20-3-2, 14KOs) of Ghana for the WBO Intercontinental super bantamweight belt.
His older brother Jason (40-3-1, 25KOs), on the other hand, will slug it out with Geisler Ap of Indonesia (1210-1, 9KOs) in a non-title welterweight bout scheduled for 10 rounds.
In between Albert and Jason's fights, ALA Gym rising star Jeo 'Santino' Santisima' (15-2, 13KOs) from Aroroy, Masbate will go up against Likit Chane (16-5, 10KOs) of Thailand in a 12round rumble for the WBO Oriental junior featherweight crown.
Also included in the slambang show are two-time world title challenger 'King' Arthur Villanueva and Melvin Jerusalem. The Bago Citynative Villanueva (31-3, 17KOs) will tackle Renren Tesorio (16-12-3, 4KOs) of Taguig City, while Jerusalem will face off with Philip Luis Cuerdo.
In a special attraction set for six rounds, FilipinoJapanese boxer Go Hosaka will trade blows with Holly Quiñones of General Santos City.
The rest of the matches pit Joyjoy Formentera of Maribojoc, Bohol vs Lobert Bayo of Mandaue City, and Jeno Macapobre of Toledo City vs Caslito Antaran of GenSan. —
