Ex-Jail Supt. Priscillana Lee Gilboy, 49, and her sisterin-law Fatima Gilboy, 45, both entered the not guilty plea when arraigned before Judge Alexander Nicandro Acosta of the Regional Trial Court in Cebu City.

The two accused were arrested during an entrapment operation last month after demanding P30,000 from a jail guard applicant to pass the neurological examination. The complainant, who was a security guard, took the neuro test on March 19.

According

to

the complainant, Priscillana allegedly texted him and demanded an amount equivalent to one month salary of a newly hired jail guard in exchange of a passing grade.

The applicant sought the assistance of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) 7 resulting in the arrest of Priscillana and her sister-in-law.

The complainant and the two accused agreed to meet at a fastfood outlet inside a mall at the North Reclamation Area on March 30, the same day the jail official retired from the service.

Using a P20,000 marked money, the victim handed the amount to Fatima who was sitting beside Priscillana. The transaction was filmed by covert CIDG operatives.

Despite being caught on the act, the two accused denied the charges. The court has set the pre-trial conference on June 26, 2018 at 1:30 in the afternoon.
