The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) works to establish linkages and relations with government and represent the business sector on issues and concerns of certain regulations with concerned government agencies.
Also, CCCI undertakes into various programs that would help spur and strengthen the capabilities of its member companies in accelerating their businesses and becoming globally competitive.
CCCI welcomes the new BIR OIC RD
The chamber’s officers and trustees, led by President Antonio Chiu, accommodated the visit of the new Bureau of Internal Revenue Officer-In-Charge Regional Director Eduardo L. Pagulayan, Jr. and his Revenue District Officers in Cebu last May 22 at CCCI Boardroom.
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry officers and trustees, led by President Antonio N. Chiu, accommodates the visit of the new Bureau of Internal Revenue Officer-In-Charge Regional Director Eduardo L. Pagulayan Jr. together with his Revenue District Officers last May 22 at CCCI Boardroom.
BIR OIC RD Pagulayan gave a brief overview on the mandate of his office, their target collection of this year, IEC on TRAIN Law implementation, implementation of the revision of the region’s zonal values of real properties, monitoring of top taxpayers, among others.
He further requested the Chamber’s support by encouraging each member to encourage at least another 10 companies to comply with the tax requirements.
With this, CCCI BOTs showed great support to the initiatives of BIR on its IEC campaign and would help the government agency to link with the member companies when necessary.
CBM 2018 Grand Opening Salvo: Same Date, Same Venue!
In pursuit of CCCI’s thrust to strengthen business and accelerate change, this year’s Cebu Business Month (CBM) theme, “Innovate Cebu!” underscores the importance of innovation in all aspects of business especially in this digital age.
This June 1, CCCI is set to hold the CBM 2018 Grand Opening Salvo at 5:30pm at The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu. This beckons the start of CBM’s series of highlighted events/activities lined-up for the month of June.
Ms. Elisa Torres, President of Cebu Manila Homes Realty, chairs the CBM 2018 Grand Opening Salvo.
During the event, world-class performances by the Star System Dance Troupe and the Loboc Youth Ambassadors Band will dance the night away into an enthralling one. Also, GMA Network’s host, singer and actress Solenn Heussaff-Bolzico’s captivating beauty and talent will add glam and glitter to the kick-off event.
