100 studes get school supplies from VECO
VECO Kaibigan Batches 17 and 18 banded together to distribute more than P20,000 worth of school supplies to 100 deserving incoming grade one students of the San Nicolas Elementary School last May 19.
Led by Ronimay Alvarado of Batch 17 and Kay Ingan of Batch 18, VECO Kaibigans distributed envelopes filled with all the essential supplies every incoming grade 1 pupil needs. In her welcome speech, Ingan said that she is thankful for the opportunity given by the school to extend help to their students especially that the start of the school year was coming up. She also thanked VECO's Human Resources department, represented by HR Supervisor Connie Sosas, who funded the activity.
Aside from the school supplies distribution, the incoming Grade 1 pupils were also treated to fun activities and a sumptuous meal.
Assistant school principal, Lunessa Pogoy thanked the VECO Kaibigans for sharing a little bit of their time and for distributing school supplies to the students especially that the opening of classes is near.
The Kaibigan Program is a fun-filled and activitydriven activity for VECO employees with the hope that the activities can make them better persons and more productive members of the community. Kaibigan outreach activities are done in partnership with the Human Resources department.
