Institute of Technology-University

(CIT-U) Wildkittens,83-41, for their third straight win in as many starts in the 2018 Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI)

Partner's Cup yesterday at the Cebu

Coliseum.

Led by Sean Punzalan and Neon Chavez with 10 points each, all 15 players summoned by USPF coach Alan Cabatingan hit the scoring chart to help the Baby Panthers seize the solo lead in the juniors division with a clean 3-0, arguably their best ever start in CESAFI history.

So dominant the Baby Panthers were that they pounded the hapless Wildkittens quarter after quarter.

From a 17-6 start, which they parlayed into a 36-17 advantage at halftime, USPF's lead ballooned to 30 points, 55-25, with less than a minute left in the third period.

The red-hot Baby Panthers dropped 28 more points in the fourth en route to a masterful 42-point demolition of the Wildkittens.

Earlier, Gabriel Cometa churned out 21 points and Andro Actub added 17 as the University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers hammered the Mandaue Hotel-University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors, 88-69, for their first victory in two games.

Joshua Yerro and Albert Sacayan connived for 21 points for the Baby Lancers, who used a second-quarter outburst to pummel the Baby Warriors.

Trailing by two on erratic start, 16-18, the Baby Lancers staged a searing 55-34 rally in the middle quarters to tear the game apart, 71-52, heading into the final 10-minute zone of the contest. It was cruise control for UV from there onwards.—
