Over 2T expected to join St. Ignatius Run

Over 2,000 participan­ts are expected to take part in this year's edition of the annual St. Ignatius Run slated on July 22 starting and ending at the SM City-Cebu grounds.

Organized by the Sacred Heart School–Ateneo de Cebu Alumni Associatio­n (SHS-AAA) through the Silver Jubilarian­s of Batch 1993, the race features the 1K, 3K, 6K, 12K and 21K distances.

"This year's race is all about "Celebratin­g Life", our way of giving back to the society through our charity and outreach projects as well as to promote health and wellness to the people through this run," said SHS Batch '93 President Reagan King in a press conference yesterday at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

Proceeds of the fundraisin­g event will be used to support the alumni's various outreach and charity projects.

Meanwhile, the top three finishers in the 12K and 21K categories will receive cash prizes, medals and plaques.

Registrati­on fee is pegged at P450 for the 1K and 3K, P550 for the 6K, P650 for the 12K, and P750 for the 21K inclusive of a race shirt, bib and snack.

Interested parties may register at Shakey's in Ayala, SM City, F. Cabahug and IT Park, Sacred Heart Alumni office, Harley Davidson, Gibbs Streetscap­e, Gibbs IT Park, Cebu Doctors' University, and Cebu City Sports Center. One may also log on to www.race.ph/ Ignatiusru­n2018. —
