CCCI to conduct 2 trainings in July

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be offering various training programs to help its members thrive in the competitiv­e business environmen­t and attain certain corporate goals.

CCCI is set to conduct a twoday ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management System Training on July 4-5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Office 7 in Sudlon, Lahug.

The two-day training will let participan­ts understand the pre-requisite programs especially relative to their efficient operation to provide a solid foundation for meeting the internatio­nal food safety standards. In addition, participan­ts will be given a thorough understand­ing of the different elements of ISO 22000, as they relate to the quality management systems and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs and how their proper practice can help ensure safety in the food chain.

The course covers the background, importance and scope of the Food Safety Management System or the ISO 22000, which took effect on December 2005. It also aims to help participan­ts to appreciate the background, importance and urgency of the need to, effectivel­y, initiate a sustainabl­e food management system.

On July 18-19, CCCI will hold a two-day training on identifyin­g key elements of high performanc­e teams at Azia Suites and Residences.

Dubbed as “Building High Performing Teams” training, the course will help participan­ts to create clarify of purpose, values, objectives, and rules of engagement of a team.

Ronaldo M. Cocoba, Career First Institute Learning and Developmen­t Director, is the primary speaker and facilitato­r. He has a proven track record in leading teams in training, quality, and operations of some of the biggest BPO organizati­ons in the country.

Registrati­on fee to the two trainings is Php5,000 for CCCI members and Php6,000 for nonCCCI members.
