Run for Autism draws over 1T entries

Over 1,000 running buffs will be taking part in the first ever REACH OUT-Run for Autism Awareness Challenge this Sunday starting and ending at the SM City Cebu grounds.

Organized by the Parent’s Reach Foundation, Inc. (PRFI) in partnershi­p with SM City Cebu and the Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente, the charity race is for the benefit of children with autism. It features the 1K, 3K, 6K and 12K categories.

"We are a hundred percent ready and it's all systems go. Rain or shine we (will) race," said race director Kenneth Casquejo.

PRFI, a Cebu-based non-profit organizati­on composed of parents of children with autism and allied medical profession­als who runs and administer­s the REACH Center, will use proceeds of the race to support the indigent families of children with autism.

Cash prizes and medals will be given away to the top three finishers in the 6K and 12K.

Interested parties can still catch up as the registrati­on has been extended until today.
