Abellanosa still richest Cebu lawmaker

Cebu City South District Rep. Rodrigo Abellanosa is richest among the 10 congressme­n from Cebu with a net worth of P69.3 million, based on his Statements of Assets, Liabilitie­s and Net Worth (SALNs) for 2017.

Abellanosa is the founder and president of Asian College of Technology (ACT).

He became richer by P500,000 in 2017 as his net worth the previous year was P68,800,000.

Net worth or actual wealth is computed based on the value of total assets (the real properties plus personal properties) minus total liabilitie­s.

Abellanosa is followed by Cebu Third District Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia who reported a net worth of P50.7 million. This number decreased by P7.6 million as Garcia reported a net worth of P58,287,389.84 the previous year.
