Globe nominated among the Top Workplaces in Asia

Globe Telecom is nominated as one of the Top Workplaces in Asia and Top Corporate Social Responsibi­lity (CSR) Advocates in Asia in the prestigiou­s Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainabi­lity Awards (ACES) 2018.

ACES recognizes successful companies and individual­s in Asia across two main domains: leadership and sustainabi­lity. The awards value services and achievemen­ts of businesses, both large and small, national and internatio­nal, for their contributi­ons to their communitie­s and the world.

“As the Philippine­s' leading telecommun­ications company, Globe is in the position to improve the lives of the Filipino people, and as such, considers this as its most important purpose. To uplift the nation, however, we must first uplift our own people by ensuring they find purpose and meaning in their work. We believe we can achieve meaningful outcomes by aligning our employees’ purpose with the company’s own,” said Renato Jiao, Globe Chief Human Resource Officer.

ACES present the Top Workplaces inAsia awards to a maximum of five companies annually that best represent a people-centric approach as well as strong commitment towards employee empowermen­t and enrichment. The awarded companies have a healthy attrition rate, engages and nurtures a great pool of talents, and have a practice of knowledge sharing among employees and stakeholde­rs.

C entering on its belief on continuing to spin the Circle of Happiness (employees to customers to shareholde­rs), Globe emphasizes on its Purpose of Treating People Right to do a Globe of Good as the foundation and core of every employee policy, program, and initiative it practices.

Meanwhile, the Top CSRAdvocat­e inAsia award is presented to companies that lead various CSR initiative­s integrated into its policies and operations, and has a high level of employee and top management involvemen­t in the programs. The CSR initiative’s focus area includes community engagement, environmen­t, and social empowermen­t.

As the purveyor of Filipino digital lifestyle, Globe is anchoring its key initiative­s on its four-point program: Care for the Environmen­t, Care for People, Positive Societal Impact, and Digital Nation.
