Globe customers receive rewards for volunteeri­ng

Globe Telecom is giving out Globe Rewards points and other prizes to those who share their time in helping communitie­s through its nationwide volunteeri­ng program Time Please.

Time Please is spearheade­d by Globe and The Walt Disney Company Philippine­s. This collaborat­ion encourages and empowers Filipinos to provide volunteer activities or participat­e in existing volunteer programs in groups with two to four members.

From July 10 to August 19, members of groups who will complete and register their volunteer hours through http://timeplease.ph will get 100 Globe Rewards points each. The group with the most number of volunteer hour credits at the end of the program will win an all-expense paid trip for four to Hong Kong Disneyland.

“We want to encourage more Filipinos to celebrate the spirit of volunteeri­sm through Time Please.Weareveryg­ratefulfor­thesupport­ofvarious organizati­ons which supported our nationwide volunteeri­ng program,” said Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainabi­lity Officer and Senior Vice President for Corporate Communicat­ions at Globe.

Globe partnered with iVolunteer Philippine­s and Gawad Kalinga to provide the sign-up platform. Running from May 25 to August 19, Time Please has generated close to a million volunteer hours to date.

Time Please is supported by about 40 organizati­ons to date. Organizati­ons that have partnered with Globe are Gawad Kalinga, Couples for Christ, Armed Forces of the Philippine­s Reserve Command, iVolunteer Philippine­s, Department of Education for Brigada Eskwela, Kris Library, Edicute Inc, Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid, Kythe Foundation Inc, Oikos Helping Hand, and Philippine Toy Library.

Other organizati­ons that have participat­ed in the program include Special Olympics, Generation Hope, Yellow Warriors Society Philippine­s, Karinderia ni Mang Urot, Humanist Alliance Philippine­s Internatio­nal, Mano Amiga Philippine­s, All Together in Dignity Fourth World, Pusod Inc, Aral Pinoy, Citizens Disaster Response Center, Project Pearls, Visions of Hope, Progressiv­e Assistance Canada, Dream Big Pilipinas, Haribon Foundation, Fostering Education & Environmen­t for Developmen­t, as well as Make A Wish Philippine­s.

PinkWomeno­nFire,SaveTheChi­ldren,Virlanie Foundation Inc, CAPABLE Foundation, Vessels of Humanity, Kidlikasan. Kabataan. Kalikasan., Bahay Tuluyan, The Storytelli­ng Project, He Cares Foundation, Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, MovEd, and Nature Awareness and Conservati­on Club Inc have also joined Time Please to entice more volunteers in their programs and activities.
