The Cebu Eco-Trail Challenge 2018
The Cebu Eco-Trail Challenge 2018 brings together four-wheel drive vehicles, and their enthusiasts, from around the country to the rugged mountainscapes of Cebu.
It’s the ultimate off-road adventure. The competition has three legs, which traverse four cities and three municipalities in Cebu. The course was created especially for the event, designed and plotted to test both the rig and the driver—the race demands more than just four-wheel driving skills; winching, and vehicle recovery, preparation and mechanical skills will also come into play.
The event was organized by the Jeep Owners of Cebu club, borne from their love for the sport and the desire to share the adrenaline rush with more people. In fact, the Cebu Eco-Trail Challenge 2018 is open to four-wheel drive vehicles across various brands and models.
Scheduled for September 15-19, the festivities begin with the opening ceremonies, where there will be a presentation of teams and a welcome dinner for the participants. The next day, teams will set off from Ayala Heights for the first leg, which culminates at a designated campsite—here, the competition committee will record the finishing times for each team. The rest of the legs follow the same procedure. The Cebu Eco-Trail Challenge then ends with an off-track race, awarding ceremonies and fellowship dinner at the Kan-Irag Off-Road Grounds.
Teams with the best times will receive cash prizes and special gifts.
