Over 10,000 jobs up for grabs at ‘build, build, build’ caravan

Over 10,000 constructi­on industry jobs under the government's "Build, Build, Build" infrastruc­ture program will be offered during Sunday's job caravan at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The jobs to be offered will be for government infrastruc­ture projects in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and the Calabarzon Region.

Among the workers needed for these projects were: * skilled workers,

* administra­tive staff,

* accounting workers,

* Informatio­n Technology (IT) workers, and

* engineerin­g profession­als.

“Ang mga vacancies po natin ay marami po ang pangangail­angan sa mason, sa karpintero, sa tile setter," explained Department of Labor and Employment-Bureau of Local Employment Director Dominique Rubia-Tutay. "At saka, meron din pong pailan-ilan para po sa mga engineers, at saka sa mga architect and administra­tive positions.”

Former overseas Filipino workers who had been to the Middle East were also encouraged to apply for the available jobs.

Applicants should bring the following requiremen­ts: * several copies of their resume;

* 2 x 2 ID photo;

* photocopy of training certificat­es, if any;

* certificat­e of employment from a former job, if available; * transcript of records, diploma;

* PRC License for profession­al positions;

* an authentica­ted birth certificat­e; and

* an NBI clearance.

The jobs caravan will also feature services from the Social Security System (SSS ID); Bureau of Internal Revenue (Tax Identifica­tion Number); National Bureau of Investigat­ion (NBI clearance); Pag-IBIG (ID); and National Statistics Office (authentica­ted birth certificat­e), for jop applicants who have yet to secure these requiremen­ts.

The jobs caravan will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
