Boss KTV goes 2-0 in Alegado Cup

Boss KTV rolled to its second straight win at the expense of L&T, 88-76, to take the early lead in the open division of the 8th Mayor Teresa “Nene” P. Alegado Fiesta Basketball League at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

Toki Pepito led Boss KTV’s balanced attack with 17 points followed by Randy Colonia with 15 markers.

Jerome Valle scored 11, while Jape Naingue and Leo Casinillo connived for 19 points for Boss KTV, which used a scorching 25-15 run in the second period to take complete control of the match at halftime, 42-30. It was cruise control for Boss KTV from there onwards.

Emman Villamor scattered 24 points and Brevin Keith Padayogdog had 16 but to no avail as L&T slumped to its second straight loss.

In the Inter-Barangay Seniors Category, Tomas Marte nailed 15 points as Polog downed Garing, 50-40, Dexy John Suico collected 16 markers as Casili outgunned Lamac, 62-52, while Oliver Taghoy and Rex Lopez had a combined total of 37 points as Sacsac clobbered Panoypoy, 81-58.

Not to be outdone, Marco Booker Panta netted 19 points, while Danny Ponce and Clark Maglasang finished with 12 and 10 markers, respectively as Pitogo whipped Cansaga, 88-63, in the SK Juniors Category A.

In the other games of the same group, Kevin Tejada, Rubi Jean Oporto and Joel Brigoli connived for 36 points as Poblacion Occidental bested Poblacion Oriental, 68-64, while Brevin Keith Padayogdog erupted for 32 points to power Cabangahan to a thrilling 52-50 win over Lamac.

On the other hand, Clark Jugan sizzled with 26 points as Danlag escaped past Casili, 58-53, in Midgets Category A, while Jeck Umpad rifled 31 points to vault Nangka past Tugbongan, 66-61.

The other results saw Edims Pongase and Clyde Alin tossing in 11 points apiece as Garing pummeled Panoypoy, 68-35, in the SK Juniors Category B, and Jaymar Herbieto, Gabriel Jones Alin and Stephen Alivio finishing with 38 combined points as Garing subdued Polog, 57-51, in Midgets Category B.
