Sanya Lopez heats up screens in debut flick
Sanya Lopez is still a virgin at 22 years old. She has no experience in doing intimate scenes whether in real life or in movies. But she gets her baptism of fire in Regal Entertainment’s “Wild and Free,” her launching film as a Regal baby.
Also featured in the film is Kapuso hunk Derrick Monasterio, who is likewise given a big break in “Wild and Free,” directed by Connie S.A. Macatuno.
Sanya said Derrick helped a lot in making her feel comfortable doing the intimate scenes.
The emerging sexy star was asked how was she able to do the scenes in question when she has not yet experienced doing so in real life. “That's why you do it with love. That will make it exciting, sexy, wild and free,” the “Encantadia” star said.
And since she is very much committed to the role, even if she has no experience, she was able to do the love scenes with flying colors. She did what her director asked her to do, no questions asked.
“Maybe I am sensual by nature. Although we had some workshops before we started, I admit that I am still a virgin. But to act realistically on my character, I have to learn this from watching videos that can arouse my sensuality,” said Sanya.
Based on the trailer and the video clips of the movie, we can see Sanya’s dedication to her craft. Notwithstanding her lack of experience in intimacy, Sanya was successful in portraying her role with aplomb.
For his part, Derrick considers it a big honor to be chosen by Regal Entertainment to play the important role as Sanya’s leading man. Derrick will also have his share of sexy scenes that will make his fans drool with delight.

Nora Aunor’s fans will have something to look forward to this October as the Cinema One Originals Festival will screen the restored version of “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo,” the award-winning film directed by Lupita Concio.
According to Leo Katigbak of ABS-CBN Film Restoration, it was not easy to restore the film. Some parts of the film were damaged and there were also portions where no images are visible. The movie had been shown before on television but minus some parts.
But thanks to the restoration done, the people who had the chance to see the film before and those who are seeing it for the first time will be able to see “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo” in its entirety including the pivotal scene where Nora uttered the the memorable line, “My brother is not a pig.”
Watch out for the scheduled screening of “Minsa’y Isang Gamu-Gamo” at the Cinema One Originals Festival which runs from October 12-19.
*** Congratulations to filmmaker Perci Intalan as his Cinemalaya 2018 film entry “Distance” has been accepted at the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival, in competition in the Asian Feature Award category.
Only one of eight films that made it to the said section of TiFF, “Distance” is one of the most-talked about and controversial entries in Cinemalaya last August. It features a stellar cast headed by Iza Calzado, Nonie Buencamino and Teri Malvar, who won a Special Jury Prize in acting for her work in the film.
The 31st Tokyo International Film Festival runs from October 25-November 3. Actor-singer Lance Raymundo is back to musicmaking as he formally launched his song “#Yato (You are The One).” The song was released in all digital platforms last September 8. #Yato’s official music video, which featured Janna Victoria, was also screened during the media launch. The single was released under Viva Records and is now available on iTunes and Spotify.
Lance’s music digs deep and unearths an emotionfilled ballad in “You are The One.” Here, Lance polishes a previously released gem from his repertoire and updates “You are The One” as #YATO for the pop listeners of this era, hence the hashtags.
Yearning and wanting for his object of affection is the theme of this mid-tempo ballad. As far as love songs go, Lance made this work back then and somehow, still works now.
