Catch singer­song­writer, Jose Mari Chan as he ser­e­nades mall-go­ers at the light­ing cer­e­mony for the Fes­ti­val of Lights tonight, 6 p.m. at The Ter­races, Ayala Cen­ter Cebu.

Af­fec­tion­ately dubbed as the “Fa­ther of Philip­pine Christ­mas Mu­sic,” Chan pop­u­lar­ized fa­vorite Christ­mas tunes such as “A Per­fect Christ­mas” and “Christ­mas in Our Hearts.” His 1990 hol­i­day al­bum also ti­tled “Christ­mas in Our Hearts” is the best-sell­ing OPM al­bum to date.

The Chil­dren’s Par­adise Montes­sori Choir led by Mae­stro Den­nis Su­garol will ser­e­nade the crowd with clas­sic Christ­mas songs while Mem­bers of Bal­let Cen­ter Cebu will de­light au­di­ences with a per­for­mance in­spired by clas­sic Dis­ney sto­ries.

This year, Ayala Land, Inc. has part­nered with The Walt Dis­ney Com­pany Philip­pines for “Reimag­ine the Magic: A Fes­ti­val of Lights,” an au­dio-vis­ual dis­play fea­tur­ing Dis­neyView­ers themed il­lu­mi­na­tions twin­kling and danc­ing to Dis­ney and Christ­mas songs every 30 min­utes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. un­til Jan­uary 20, 2019.

Award-win­ning lights and sounds di­rec­tor Voltaire de Je­sus once again crafted the dis­play’s light­ing ef­fects while com­poser and for­mer mu­si­cal di­rec­tor of Hong Kong Dis­ney­land, Rony For­tich, ar­ranged the or­ches­tral med­leys of loved Dis­ney tunes.

The magic of Dis­ney, which spans gen­er­a­tions, is reimag­ined in the light show along­side clas­sic Dis­ney songs such as “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Let it Go” to en­chant kids and the young at heart. The Fes­ti­val of Lights has been an an­nual tra­di­tion at Ayala Cen­ter Cebu since 2014.
