Three months after it officially opened, Ayala Group’ hotel brand Seda posted high occupancy

rate.

In fact, as of yesterday, the hotel registered 100 percent occupancy rate.

In an interview with Seda Ayala Center Cebu general manager Gwendolyn L. De La Cruz, she said that the active MICE events pushed the consistently high rate.

Starting this month until end of 2018, Seda Ayala Center Cebu’s function accommodation is booked.

This early, the hotel already received booking inquiries for January up to March next year.

The hotel has six function rooms which can accommodate 400 to 600 people combined.

Ayala Group’s hotel brand, Seda opened its flagship property in Cebu, eight months after the Marriott Hotel closed.

The Seda Ayala Center Cebu retains the same facilities and amenities offered previously by Marriott in the same building, what has changed is the interior fixtures, and service standards.

“People are adjusting to Seda and trying to get to know the brand,” added De La Cruz.

The hotel has a total of 301 rooms. All rooms will be fully operational by the end of this month.

The Seda brand which entered into the hospitality industry in 2012, is focusing its move to establishing properties in locations that lacked or needed modern hotel facilities such as Bonifacio Global City, Cagayan de Oro and Davao. It also established presence in Nuvali in Laguna, Iloilo, Quezon City and recently Bacolod.

A Seda Hotel Cebu IT Park will also be opened soon.
