CCCI completes mentorship program for MSMEs

-

In partnership with various government agencies and stakeholders, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) continues to stand as a supportive arm to Cebu’s business community in an effort to strengthen business and accelerate change.

In partnership with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) – Go Negosyo, CCCI will hold the Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) Batch 5 Graduation on December 12 at 10 a.m. at the City Sports Club Cebu where 27 mentees will be awarded with certificates of completion for successfully passing the program.

CCCI has been partners with the DTI and the PCE – Go Negosyo in the implementation of the KMME program in Region 7 since October 1, 2016. The KMME has always been about helping our micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their entrepreneurial competencies and to assist them leverage and sustain their competitive advantage on their businesses.

CCCI’s main role is to provide mentors, who assume the role of Big Brother coaches/mentors to new entrepreneurs. The chamber has continuously mobilized volunteer-panelists comprised of the mentors, past presidents, and current members of the CCCI Board of Trustees. The ideas they share to the mentees are based on their own experiences as business owners and managers themselves.

The support of the mentors and the past and present officers of the CCCI has indeed contributed to the successful conduct of this batch of trainings and mentoring sessions.

To date, the Chamber has succeeded in mobilizing 55 volunteer-mentors who have coached a total of 135 mentees.
