After a five-day ceasefire, action in the 19th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) men’s basketball tournament resumes today with a heavy quadruple-header at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras will shoot for the solo lead in the seniors division as they take on the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers at 3:30 p.m.

The Cobras and the three-time defending champions University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers are currently tied with 6-2 win-loss records, while the Panthers are at fifth spot with a 3-6 slate.

In the main match at 5 p.m., the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars gun for their first back-to-back victories when they battle the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats.

The Jaguars currently hold a 2-6 card while the Wildcats have only one win to show in seven starts.

In the juniors division, the rampaging University of Cebu (UC) Junior Webmasters will try to stretch their undefeated streak to eight games when they tackle their sister-team UCLM at 2:00 p.m. while the University of San Carlos (USC) Baby Warriors will mix it up with the CIT-U Baby Wildcats in the 12:30 p.m. opener.

While the Junior Webmasters dominate the leaderboard with a perfect 7-0 slate, UCLM remains listless in six matches, the Baby Warriors have a 2-4 mark, while the Baby Wildcats carry a 2-6 slate.
