‘Bridgerton’ returning for season 2
Prepare for another social season, as Netflix has officially announced a follow up for its hit series “Bridgerton,” with Lord Anthony Bridgerton intending to dominate and Lady Whistledown ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities.
From Shondaland and Creator Chris Van Dusen, “Bridgerton” followed Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews) casts aspersions on Daphne.
Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future.
“Bridgerton” is a romantic, scandalous, and quick-witted series that celebrates the timelessness of enduring friendships, families finding their way, and
the search for a love that conquers all.

‘Lupin’: rise of the French new wave Netflix’s “Lupin” is the latest in a string of high-end French series to become runaway international hits. Once rubbished for its lack of original drama, French series have transplanted Nordic Noir as the new streaming favourites,
outshining top US and British shows.
The series starring Omar Sy as a modern take on France’s beloved gentleman thief, Arsene Lupin, has been an instant hit, landing in the Top 10 of Netflix Philippines. In its first few weeks it has outperformed the much talked about “Bridgerton” and “The Queen’s Gambit” and is soon to hit 70 million views.
