An 18-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Intelligence Unit of the Cebu City Police Office on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

The operation was conducted at around 3:40 p.m. at Sitio Puntod, Alaska, Mambaling, Cebu City.

Police Lt. Colonel Randy Caballes, CIU chief, identified the suspect as Kenner John Tejedar, 18, a resident of Sitio Wangyu of the barangay, who was listed as a high-value individual in illegal drug trading.

The operation yielded 220 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1.5 million.

Initial investigation revealed that Tejedar started involving himself in illegal drug trading in January of this year.

He was placed under surveillance for two weeks following reports of his engagement in the illegal activity.

According to Caballes, his area of operation is in the areas of Alaska, Mambaling and other neighboring barangays.

“He can dispose of up to 100 to 150 grams of shabu per week. His source of illegal drugs is from a certain “JCABS” who is now currently detained at Cebu City Jail,” said Caballes.

He added, the supply of illegal drugs would come from a ‘’middleman.”

In an interview with The Freeman, Tejedar admitted that this has been his fourth time disposing of large volume of illegal drugs.

According to him, in his last transaction, he was supposed to commission at least P20,000.
