Final Four battle of Elite Basketball Club set tonight

The Falcons, Bears, Eagles and Rhinos will slug it out in the Final Four of the Elite Basketball Club Cebu Season 18 that will be played today at the Casals Village gym in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Christian Floyd Taboada cashed in 29 points, five rebounds and three assists while Barok Ceniza added 17 points, five rebounds and three assists as the Falcons ousted the Hogs, 93-90.

Chris Bernard Regero chipped in 13 markers, six rebounds and four blocks for the Falcons, who will take on the Bears in the semifinals scheduled at 7:30 tonight.

The Bears advanced after terminatin­g the Vipers, 90-82.

Sam Hermosa showed the way for the Bears with 22 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. Zylle Cabellon backed up Hermosa with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals while John Velasco donated 12 points and five rebounds.

The other semis match-up set at 6 p.m. pits the Eagles against the Rhinos. The Eagles stayed in title hunt after sending the Wolves packing, 105-97, while the Rhinos kept their championsh­ip bid in motion after kicking out the Raptors, 112-104.

RJ Dinolan topped the Eagles with 28 points, 11 rebounds and five assists followed by John Abad with 17 points, two rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Ian Ortega also made his presence felt with 13 points for the Eagles.

Ruben Ludovice, Jake Diamante, and Shane Menina showed the way for the Rhinos. Ludovice had a monster double-double show of 26 points and 25 points while Diamante and Menina tossed in identical 25 points even as they also combined for nine rebounds, 11 assists and four steals. —
