3 HUCs in Cebu, Siquijor now at 80% vax rate
At least three highlyurbanized cities of Cebu-Mandaue City, LapuLapu City and Cebu City-- as well as Siquijor Province are among the local government units in Central Visayas which already breached the 80 percent vaccination rate of its targeted population as of June 4, 2022.
Data released by the Department of HealthCentral Visayas show that Mandaue City has total target population for vaccination of 350,860 but a total of 359,051 or 108.52 percent were vaccinated for the first dose plus Janssen and 341,311 or 103.16 percent were vaccinated for the second dose plus Janssen.
For Lapu-Lapu City, it has a total target population of 372,333 but it has vaccinated 402,138 or 108 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 376,652 or 101.16 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
For Cebu City, it has a total target population of 841,724 but it has vaccinated 843,658 or 100.23 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 761,443 or 9.46 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
For the Province of Siquijor, it has a total target population of 82,244 and it has vaccinated 77,939 or 94.77 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 75,835 or 92.21 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
The provinces of Cebu, Negros Oriental and Bohol has not yet reached the 80 percent target of its population for vaccination.
Cebu Province has a target population of 2,681,314 and it has vaccinated 1,760,269 or 65.65 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 1,722,033 or 64.22 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
Bohol Province has a target population of 1,115,350 and it has vaccinated 832,755 or 74.67 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 798,483 or 71.59 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
Negros Oriental has a target population of 1,148,424 and it has vaccinated 686,827 or 59.81 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 659,049 or 57.89 percent for the second dose plus Janssen.
As a whole, Central Visayas has total target population of 6,572,248 and it has vaccinated 4,962,755 or 75.51 percent for the first dose plus Janssen and 4,734,860 or 72.04 percent for the second dose plus Janssen. —
