“An unexpected and memorable weekend!,” Go posted on his Facebook page after holding on his ground against a tough field of opposition to place third out of 70 drivers.

The 14-year-old Go finished behind Jan Przyrowski of Poland and Rene Lammers of The Netherlands, who emerged as champion and first runner-up, respectively.

It was Go’s second major accomplishment in Europe in just a two-month span. Last May, he finished second in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy Round 1 held in Genk, Belgium.

In the WSK Euro Series, Go was only at 25th place after the qualifying race but managed to climb his way up in the succeeding heats on the way to come up with a historic finish in the prestigious European open kart racing competition that counts Formula One drivers Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc among its notable champions.

“After the organizers ranked the standings, I qualified P7 overall,” Go further shared.

“I would consider the final race to be the trickiest throughout the entire weekend.

I had to push hard to overtake those infront of me and ensure that those behind me could not get through. I finished the race as the second runner up or P3 and I am beyond grateful for the result.”

“As the first Filipino to bag a podium in the WSK series, it is indeed a great joy for me to bring pride to the Philippines. It motivates me to improve further in my future races,” Go added.

Thankful as ever, Go expressed his profound gratitude to those who, in one way or another, have greatly contributed to his most recent success.

“To my WV family, my team: Forza racing, my engine provider: GFR engines, my mechanic: Lazzaro Ferri, my coach: Davide Fore, my companion: Marthny Miano, and Infinity Sports Management. I could not have gone this far without your relentless effort and support, pushing me towards my goals. To the Almighty Father and Our

Lady, I owe this all to you,” Go ended.
