Registration for Go Race Cebu: The Great Safari obstacle trail race ends today
Those who are interested to join the Go Race Cebu:The Great Safari Experience obstacle trail race slated on July 30 at the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park in Carmen town, north of Cebu have only until today to register.
One may enlist online via https://forms. gle/5XhupkZmcBnXCoZx6 or at the event’s physical registration locations in Cebu Safari and Adventure Park and Runnr in Ayala Center Cebu.
Entry fee is pegged at P1,000 for the 3km fun run, and P1,100 for the 6km and P1,400 for the 12km obstacle race inclusive of race bib and kit, singlet, finisher’s medal, goodies from event partners, and whole day park admission.
A total of P33,000 in cash prize is at stake for the winners. The champion in the 12km obstacle race will pocket P10,000, while the second and third placers will receive P8,000 and P5,000.
The top three finishers in the 6km category will take home P5,000, P3,000, and P2,000.
Spearheaded by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as part of the 2022 Cebu Business Month (CBM) celebrations, the Go Race Cebu:The Great Safari Experience is a uniquely exciting obstacle trail race.
The route is spiked with obstacles meant to slow the racers down but are fairly easy to accomplish and are well-suited for beginner and intermediate athletes alike.
Participants must be prepared to crawl, run, and carry as they traverse the beautiful and scenic landscape of the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park, which is home to over a thousand animals from 120 different species, and is considered one of the biggest zoological parks in the Philippines.
The Cebu Safari’s main showcase for now are the African Savanna, Michelle’s Garden, Gardens of the World, and the White Lion Safari.As an added attraction especially for adventure seekers, it features one of the longest and highest ziplines in the country at 1.3km long and 671 meters above sea level.
