Healthcare firms strengthen partnershi­p with Cebu LGUs

Healthcare providers LH Paragon Group and Keralty Group forged stronger partnershi­p with the government in Cebu strengthen­ing the continued global effort to ensure better access to quality primary healthcare and holistic patient care in local communitie­s.

LH Paragon Inc. (LHPI) Group Chief Financial Officer Edmun Liu joined Keralty Group Global Chief Executive Officer Sergio Martinez with Keralty Prime Cebu Inc. (KPCI) President Javier Julian and KPCI Chief Executive Officer Daniel Obradó in a series of meetings with key local officials in Cebu.

Last July 27-28, 2022, LH Paragon Inc. and Keralty Group Executives met with Hon. Mayor Jonas Cortes of Mandaue City, Hon. Mayor Teresa P. Alegado of the Municipali­ty of Consolacio­n and Hon. Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan of Lapu-Lapu City as part of a series of internatio­nal visits in the localities where Keralty Clinics are present, in a global drive to ensure access to cost-effective healthcare services for all communitie­s.

Keralty Clinics in Cebu is part of an expanding network of healthcare facilities under Keralty Prime Cebu Inc., a partnershi­p between global healthcare services provider Keralty Clinics and Cebu-based holding company, LH Paragon Inc.

The LH Paragon Group of Companies has been operating in the country for more than 50 years, with holdings in different industries both in the Philippine­s and abroad, including fashion retailing, wood distributi­on, real estate developmen­t, food retailing, and healthcare services.

In 2021, LH Paragon Group entered into a joint venture with the Spainbased Keralty Group to further improve and elevate the patient experience through a more innovative approach to holistic healthcare and patient services combining global expertise and local experience.

Keralty Group Global CEO Sergio Martinez voiced optimism that the partnershi­p has now actively been delivering an improved healthcare model and launched new innovation­s to ensure high quality and cost-effective care.

“The goal is not to solve people’s illnesses, but to keep them healthy and improve their quality of life by providing them access to affordable, quality healthcare,” Martinez said.

Likewise, Liu shared Martinez’s optimism, saying “coming from the pandemic, we have witnessed the importance of keeping ourselves and our community healthy. We share in the optimism of our partners that with the improved healthcare framework and product innovation­s, we are now closer to providing access to quality primary healthcare for every Filipino.”
